FS: McCord electric exhaust cutout

McCord electric exhaust cutout
Here's a pic of the same model on Aaron92SE's car

$120 new, never installed on my car due to fitment issues. $120 shipped.

DOESN'T include test pipe/cutout. Only mechanical cutout opener.

Yes, this will fit any 2.5" exhaust piping. The best place to install it is in place of your main cat.

I have a Q, exactly what does this do? Is it like a TB for the exhaust that lets more air out?

You attach the electrical device to the end of a cutout (the black thing in the pic), and can open and close the cutout from inside the cabin. Dynos show a cutout gains 6-10 hp over going through the rest of the exhaust.

got a question, im interested in this, but im wondering how much ground clearance is left with an eibach drop? From the looks of it, it looks pretty big, would it tuck away?

I never got it installed due to clearance issues. Unless you do some custom work, getting it to fit on a 4th gen is going to be difficult. However, it will fit fine under a 3rd gen, and may work on a 5th gen.

What dia. is the though pipe? Would you try to mount it before the cat for after? what type of clearance problems did you run in to?

Like I said earlier, it's for 2.5" piping. I tried to mount mine in place of my cat, but ran into space issues. The motor will either hit the floor of the car or be too close to the ground. I've been told it will work on a 3rd gen, and possibly 5th gen, but I couldn't figure out a way to get it to work on a 4th gen. You could try and mount if after the cat, but I doubt there's enough room before the cat for it.
