Gauging interest/FS: Aftermarket seat brackets for 95-99's

I'm considering getting some aluminum to make seat brackets for 95-99 Maximas. Basically it's 2 strips of 1/4" thick aluminum, 2" wide, 18" long, that would bolt to the stock seat locations. Then you can drill holes for any aftermarket seat through the brackets, and mount the seat. I've had the same design in my other car (90 Talon TSi) for about 2 years, and haven't had any problems with them. It allows for a very low mounting location for the seat, which I like.

The only problem is that 1/4" thick aluminum is hard to find in local stores - most only carry 1/8" thick aluminum, which is too thin and bends easily. I would have to order online in bulk to get the quality stuff (extruded 6061-T6511 aluminum). They would be left as bare aluminum, but I guess I could paint them different colors if anyone wanted.

The pricing would break down to about $40 shipped for one seat, or $70 shipped for both sides. Would anyone be interested? I don't have any made right now, but I'm planning on having them ready in about 2-3 weeks. I would have enough to make enough brackets for 10 seats for the first batch. Each one would be test fitted on my own car to guarantee 100% fitment. Please either post here or PM me directly.

Mods, if this needs to be changed in any way to follow the rules, let me know.

Le me get this straight, they would basicly bolt onto the Maximas rails using the factory holes drilled out for the Maximas seats. Then drill out new holes in your brackets to correspond with the aftermarket seats mounting holes?
If so, Id be interested in some....

I haven't figured out the mounting details yet, it's just an idea I had kicking around because I did a similar thing in my other car. I'll get to take a look at how the seats are mounted this weekend, and maybe mock up one bracket to post some pics.

Either way, keep the discussion going, with ideas or suggestions.
