anyone know if these will melt the housing cause theyre 80/100 watt?

Yes, they will. Nokya makes high temp harnesses, so check them out.

They will not melt the headlight housing, a high power wiring harness is a good idea, but not really necessary. Make sure your connections (electrical sockets) are clean and secure. The reason people experiance socket melt down with high power bulbs is poor electrical connections. A bad electrical connection will cause a slight resistance.

Resistance + current flow = heat.

These bulbs will not do any harm to an electrical system in good working condition.
Your electrical system is designed to blow a fuse first if the load is to great.
