start doing research and searching for the parts yourself. Going to be much more productive then sitting around waiting for someone to sell you every part. Not very common.

best bet is to buy a whole 5spd junk car....as a matter of fact tonygotskills is selling one right now for 1250 (i think). look for it in the 4thgen classifieds and contact him. either that or look for a scrap 5spd in a junk yard

There is a guy who will do a complete install with a freshly rebuilt 5spd up in MA if you are willing to make a ride.

Can you post this guys contact info? Does he do motor swaps as well. I'm not ready for a swap just yet but I've decided to keep the max for a few more years and a motor and trans swap may be in line for the future.

He sure does. His name is Kevin Goodwin and his number is 774-766-7462. Tell him Matt referred you. He has done 3.0, 3.5, FULL auto -> 5spd conversions, and will do just about any work on your car.

I use him regularly as my mechanic (local) and he just installed my 00vi last weekend. I highly recommend making the trip for the quality and honesty of work is very hard to come by. Good luck.
