ANyone heard from LOWERHALO or got his email?

I sent him some money for some parts 2 months ago and now he has disappeared from the site...

I have tried NUMEROUS times in the past weeks to get ahold of him but with no luck; I am about to the point where I need to file a Paypal report to get my money back (good luck, I know)

I bought a catalytic converter from lowerhalo and I went back and forth with him for 2 months also. He always had good communication but he kept making excuses for being too busy. He said his wife recently had a baby so he had to stop working on his car. After about 2 months he refunded my money.

I wouldnt file a complaint yet, just keep pm'in him. He seemed like an honest guy when I dealt with him and I ended up getting my money back.

if you do file a complaint to paypall, they will not give your money back.
You will need to file with your credit card company.
Paypall does not guarantee anything dealings done outside of ebay. (BS i know.)
i got ripped like you did a while back, and paypall would refuse do deal with me in any way.

Also the limit for PayPal is 45 days from the date you sent payment.. if you're over that, you're SOL with them, and have to go through your bank/CC company.

It is, and I supposedly bought something from a seller here, so I thought this would be a good place to post my thread; if not, please point me in the right direction...

I thought this is where is would do the most good...

Yeah, that's the same excuse I got. I have as much sympathy for hard times as the next guy, but damn; 2 months is a long time to wait for some parts...

Never send to Canada! No pun intended to any kanooks on here but I have had and heard of nothing but trouble sending to those peeps.

a good percentage of the time, since their postal services do not take signatures there is no proving they got anything.

I think I'm missing the play on words here. Unless, however, you're playing 'with' words instead and pun means something else. e.g. offense

Not really. I bought something through craigslist.org, and never received the part. The seller gave me a tracking number through USPS and it was delivered to some where in PA (IIRC). I think he got me mixed up with someone else.

I emailed him couple time and he never replied. Then I had no choice but dispute it with Paypal. Paypal tried to contact him with no luck as well. Finally, Paypal credited the money back to my CC.

^^^ Meh, I have purchased several pieces of audio equipment from sellers in Canada and, other than a little longer shipping time, I was happy. But I guess shipping to there could get tricky...
