FS: Ground Control/Eibach coilovers

These will fit any 95-99 Maxima. It's the real deal, not the cheap eBay universal knockoffs. Genuine Ground Control sleeves with Eibach-made springs. Looking for $200 shipped.

Edit: SOLD!

I never had them on my car, so I can't tell you. I can provide all part #s that I can read off these so you could contact GC and see which shocks they were made for.

Again... never had them on my car.

If you pair them up with good shocks and don't slam the car, they should be as good as any other spring. If you put them on stock 150k mile shocks and lower 3", they'll ride like crap.

Edit: The front springs are 7" tall, rears are 6". Fronts are on the right size in the first pic, rears on the left.

The bottom gold spring perch is threaded so you just spin it left/right to move where the spring sits relative to the shock. Then it locks in place with an allen key screw.

I personally was going to use them with Tokico Blues, but I just decided I'm going to leave my car as close to stock as it already is, since I'm getting a 2nd car.

What is the spring rate on these?

Is it stock or something else?

If I knew the spring rate, I would have listed it... I got them used myself and never put them on the car. I'm sure the rate is higher than stock - basically all springs will be stiffer than stock ones, it's just a matter of how stiff you're willing to handle on your car.

doesn't it matter what struts you have? I know on ebay, when you buy these springs, you have to specify what struts you have....I have illuminas now, but will have koni's in the future. On ebay, there is a different part number for springs that fit illuminas vs. springs that fit konis. Does it actually matter?

See my reply in post #3 in this thread. They will all physically fit, just the spring rates will be slightly different to compensate for the dampening of different shocks.

You can read the part numbers off the springs in the photos and go from there.

Here are some useful spring specs:
OR
here
There rears are: 0700.250.0400 and the 0400 apparently designates the spring rate. (from 300 to 500). I believe this rating means that the spring will support 400 lbs of load per inch of compression of shock.

Now, what I would like to know is what the appropriate spring rate is for each strut type. Or better yet--what the rate should be for KYB or KYB AGX.

maybe I could give some helpful input. I have these on my car at its highest setting its stock. You can drop up to 3" with them. They are stiff and great for cornering and racing around in general. There is a allen bolt you turn to loosen the part that screws down or up to raise or lower the car. Also I have these on OEM replacement shocks. I did have to grind a ring around the struts for them to fit on but it wasn't that hard to do it. I gotta say if he sells the ones he has and anyone else wants a set I am willing to sell mine. Its too big of a prob for me to keep raising and lowering my ride im just gonna get a set of lowering springs and just drop it 1 1/2 so these are over kill for me.

I really do not know. All I do know is on my KYB GR2 Shocks I needed to grind the ring on it so they would slide down them fully.

I'm pretty sure that's the case on all rear shocks from what I've read. It's easy to do with a dremel.

I had an offer of $175 shipped. If anyone can match that, PM me and I'll send you my PayPal info.

You have that backwards.

The fronts have the longer sleeves, longer springs, and a bigger hole in the upper mount. The spring you have pictured is 0700.250.0450 = 7" long, 2.5" diameter, 450 inch pound spring rate.

The rears are listed in metric. 150.64.65 = 6" long, 2.5" diameter, 371 rate. Its hard to see the rates of the rear as they are worn, but they should be around 365-375.

You're absolutely right... the fronts are the taller springs, taller sleeves, and the dome aluminum top pieces. I dunno why I mixed that up.

They WILL physically fit any shocks... the only difference when you specify the shocks ordering new are different spring rates. The rates are listed in JSutter's post above (front 450, rear 371). You can compare that to any other spring on the market and get an idea what they will ride like.

Edit: Here's some info on spring rates:
