they are standard D2S HID bulbs and fit right into D2S projectors like TSX, S2000, E46, etc. These won't fit in the standard headlight housing.

starting from scratch (stock), what else would i need to get these up and running?

you'd need to have proper projectors retrofitted into your headlights or buy other pre-made ones from other members. i'm just selling the ballasts, bulbs and wiring. after you get the projectors, the parts i'm selling here will get you up and running. the wiring will be connected to you battery and body ground and have a connector to your stock 9004 bulb sockets. no splicing necessary.
