Arias 9.5:1 C/R piston for sale cheap...
Hey guys, I have a brand new set of Arias forged piston up for sale.
These piston have stock size and have a C/R of 9.5:1 they will work on a VQ30 with stock rods.
It also can work on the VQ30DEK but any one would need to buy custom rods with 21 mm wrist pin. The VQ30DEK engine came with bigger wrist pin (22 mm ) because I already bought new stock rods it's a no go for my build.
What happend is my DEK block has a cylinder wall clearance of .007 wich is too much, so If I want to keep the Arias pistons, I'm left with the choice of either getting a new block + buying custom rods, or having my DEK block sleeved + buying new customs rod to accomodate the Arias pistons.
Because my block is in good condition, it cost me less to just order some custom .020 oversized Forged pistons with a 8.5:1 C/R and a wrist pin of 22mm that match the stock rods. The machine shop is going to machine my block so it have the perfect clearance.
I paid 450$ US for the set, now I'm asking 275$ + shipping or BO.
Any one with a 4th gen who want to build an engine for boost, this might be your lucky day as my lost is your gain.
Feel free to contact me at anytime.

first question. Where did you get these from? because I have been looking to go get a set of low compression pistons for the vq30 for years. No one makes them. to the best of my knowledge. Did you get these custom made?

I bought the Arias piston from an org member, I dont recall his name but he got them from Arias directly. I think they only sold few set. There is more company now that can fabricate custom piston and deliver within 4 - 6 weeks. The set I'm ordering cost me 992$ for being exact, I'm getting 8.5:1 C/R
As for the Arias, even though I paid 450$ this was a pretty good deal considering they were not easy to get at that time, so I took a chance cuz the guy though the VQ30 and VQ30DEK where the same, but no body could really know unless they try to match VQ30 and DEK wrist pin and then find out the 1 mm difference.
