Idk if you know, but test pipes are like 30 on ebay, high flows are like 100 from warpspeed (also found on ebay).

high flow cats do, and what good does an o2 bung do on a test pipe?

It keeps car from misfiring or throwing a code i think.

with a test pipe you are going to throw a code whether the o2 sensor is in the pipe or not. To eliminate the code you will need a o2sim. the cat 02 sensor does nothing for engine operation so its not going to cause misfiring, mpg decrease, etc.

i kno a bad o2 causes a misfiring so i figure it would do the same if there wasnt 1 being used at all for the test pipe.

The only purpose of the catalytic converter o2 sensor is to check if your cat is good. So with a testpipe the o2 sensor for the cat is going to tell your car that the cat is broken and throw a code. So you will get a code either way. Also, only the o2 sensors on the ypipe affect how your engine runs.

If you really dont want a code and you get a test pipe, you will need an o2sim, no matter where your o2 sensor is.
