I am looking to buy a new engine for my 97 maxima i was wondering if any one has one for sale in good condition and with low miles. Also i was wondering if anyone has one that is located in or near IL. If you can also tell me how much it would be thanks!

Got one for you. Its out of the car in my Sig. Its a VQ35 long block with a VQ 30 timing components, Intake Manifold and Cams in it. It put down these power numbers in my RWD S13. Its yours for $500 if you pick it up. Or you can pay shipping. I'll use UPS Freight from a business loading dock. Shipping to a business will be significantly cheaper.

Responding to your PM here so everyone gets to read up. The VQ35 longblock is externally identical to the 30. Longblock includes the heads. Meaning the the exhaust manifolds bolt up. The (LIM)lower intake manifold on the 35's have more circular ports so there is a mismatch there but its not bad. I currently have a 30 LIM on this motor and ran it with side feed injectors. The dyno displays that the port mismatch is limiting the power of the 35 but its still significantly higher than a bone stock 30. Especially in torque. Cresting at ~205lb/ft. This motor will 100% bolt into any 4th gen with no modification to its current condition. Lemme know what you think.

Andrew

Edit: Forgot to mention that the 35 had 55K on it when I got it from the yard. Since then its ran less than 40 hours.

So manifolds mount up on this motor? Also are you saying there is a slight mismatch with the lower intake manifold, but it seams to be ok, so what type of intake manifold would I have to get to fix this.

To fix the mismatch you would need to either port match the heads and manifold together or use a full 35 IM system. If you choose the later I have a set of top feed injectors as well that I'd throw in. But again, even with the mismatch it made the dyno I posted above. Significantly higher torque numbers than stock and power is equal if not slightly higher in power than a stock 30.
