Im selling a 95 Maxima SE Fed Spec 5 speed ECU. Im selling it because I did a 5 speed swap but, I needed a 97 5 speed ECU because I have a 97 5 speed tranny.

Yeah, I understand but, you will have a check engine light with some codes if you use a 95 5 speed ECU with a 97 tranny.

Have you actually TRIED to use the ecu with the new trans? I can't think of ANY reason it wouldn't work just fine for you.

 

would u be willing to trade the ecu for anything? i have a 99 5speed that im parting out with everything in it except the engine and trans

 

Yes, the ECU works! I'm just particular about my car. I just like the 97 ECU matching up with a 97 tranny and engine thats all. If u guys want pics send me a pm.

wait what? ur swapping ECUS because u swapped trannies? This isnt making any sense.

If u have a 95 and u go to a 97 ECU you are going to start throwing a bunch of codes.

 

+1 your going to throw codes cause you have a 95 harness and using a 97ecu which requires more input than the harness has. Now if you had a 97 and switched to a 95 ecu they would be fine
