Urethane Mounts

Hi Guys, I have been developing urethane engine mounts for the 5th gen and 5.5 Gen cars. When i was at an auto wrecker the other day i checked out a few empty bays and a few with the 3.0 engines in them and realized my upper mounts will fit 4th gen cars. For more info here is the thread i started
http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...-protoype.html

It's a long read, but basically if you love your ES lower otrque mounts, you can now upgrade both upper mounts to Polyurethane. The beauty of my design is you can hack out the rubber and the metal sleeve in your driveway and tap mine into place with a rubber mallet. They are selling for 130 shipped to the USA from Canada. I am now taking orders and expect to be able to ship during the month of June.

Here's a teaser pic showing the 4th gen aluminum mounts. Note the plastic inserts in the drivers side is a mockup only. I do not have any drivers side mounts ready to go. The model will be going to the shop for the mold making process next week.

These are perfect for those of you who are supercharged and can't fit the engine brace on the passenger side.
Start up a list if you are interested. Please note I will require payment by the end of May as my supplier requires COD. I need a week to transfer from Paypal to my bank account

Installed on a 5th gen, but you all have the same bracket on the passenger side

I will be making these in batches. About every 10 people or so. Mostly because there is a minimum order for these.

From what I have been able to gather, all the passenger side bushings are the same from 95-03. All the drivers side bushings are the same size on the drivers side from 95-03, but slightly smaller than the passenger side. The only difference is the brackets that hold the bushings have different designs.

If you have a 5 speed please take photos of the drivers side. I'm 99% sure they will fit. But 5 speeds are rare in my area and i don't know anyone who has one. Mostly autos and 6 speeds. The bushings on drivers side are made for the 6 speed but can be modified very easily to fit the autos.

My inserts should fit with little to no modification. You might have to put a small chamfer were the aluminum bracket curves.

looks like this? I'm 99% sure this will fit, it doesn't make sense that nissan would go and make a different size bushing for only one year. As I've mentioned before, so far every bushing on passnger side has been one size, and all the drivers bushings are the same size.

there is also a list going in the 5the gen section. I'll eventually merge them, take a count and place the order. The model is being dropped off this week.

I'm interested if the driver side mount is confirmed to fit the 5MT! Can you tell from the picture if it will fit?

For the 5mt you might have to take an exacto knife to chamfer the edge of the lip of the poly mount to fit the curve of the mount. otherwise i don;t see a problem.

If you guys are interested please ad your name to the list

Ok, here is what you get. You have to use your imagination for the drivers side because I only have the mockups and the model. You will get 4 urethane "pucks" 2 for passenger side and 2 for drivers. You will also get 2 metal sleeves.
You can hack out the old Nissan crap or go to a shop and press it out. These will tap in one on each side of the bracket with a rubber mallet at most. Tap the appropriate pin in with a mallet and reinstall.

Here is a better pic for driver's side. This is the actual model that will be used to make the mold.

Payment will be due about a week before I pick them up. I'm a bit behind schedule on dropping off the model. But hopefully they will start making these by end of May, depending on how busy they are. After the mold is made I will get two samples and will fit them to the spare brackets I have to make sure they shrink to the correct size.
I would say that people should start making payments about the last day of may, and expect delivery in June sometime. rough estimate

130 per set plus paypal fees, or just send the money as a gift as it is a cross border payment

I could sell one person the set of aluminum brackets I have. After that I would have to buy more from auto wreckers which I won't have time for

You get 4 pucks which you can tap into your gutted mounts. 2 for passenger mount and 2 for drivers mount. They slide in on both sides of the opening, this way you don't have to squish them with a press and ruin the lip
