negative...95-96 is different from 97-99. the 97-99 is a bit longer.

I'm gonna disagree with you..the catback WILL fit 95-99's, the difference between 95/96 and 97-99 is the length..the 95/96 is a BIT (2/3) inches longer than a 97+..another difference is that catbacks made for 95/96 have an O2 bung WHICH can be capped, the question is wether its an SP1 or SP2? I still have mine which is an SP2 and it looks different, it was on my '99 max

The original SP1 came with ceramic coated mandrel bent pipes and the exhaust tips aren't rolled over

the 97-99 is longer then the 95-96, I have a couple friends that have 97-99 sp2's on there 95 an 96. The tip sticks out a little more on theirs

ok just to clarify all this confuson in this thread

1.this IS a sp2, the tip is the proof of it
2.either it be a 95-96 style or 97-99, they are pyshically the same and will fit, the diff. is 1 inch in the length due to the 97-99 have a inch longer bumper,
3. As far as the o2 is concerned the 95-96 have it in the cat converter itself, 97-99 have it in the piping right after the cat, nonetheless you can use a 97-99 on a 95-96 and plug up the hole,

So to clear the confusion here, 95-99 maxima catback no matter what brand they are, are interchangeable

This is incorrect and it is a SP2. SP1s have two resonators IIRC.

my mistake guys, I was misinformed by the person I bought it off of..as someone stated the pipes are ceramic coated, it has 2 resonators, and the tip is different
