Parting Out 96 Maxima GLE Auto - Or Take Whole Car
I have a 1996 Maxima GLE Auto / Deep Green w/ Tan interior that needs a good home or could be used to help several people with parts.
I've owned 3 Max's and love them, this 96 just needs more than I can put into it. It was a daily driver up until I parked it in July when I seen that it needed new gas tank straps and my son just plain outgrew the back seat.
Vehicle is located in Slippery Rock Pa 16057 and has 176,000 or so...need to verify exact mileage.
The Good:
-This car has a new crankshaft pulley with very few miles.
-The engine runs good and tranny is fine. No check engine light when parked. Never had issues starting it. I maintained the vehicle myself. Car has fresh oil change with synthetic blend just before parking it.
- Heated leather seats.
- Exhaust is intact.
- Doors are OK and all have glass
- All power windows locks etc. work
The Bad:
- OEM bose unit replaced with aftermarket cd player.
- It could use new struts in the rear. (see Son above)
-There is rot at rear wheels and front fenders need body work. -The front engine support is also rotted like they seem to do.
-The gas tank straps need replaced.
- windshield has long crack
- a/c compressor clutch bad, I bypassed that pully so no a/c. Compressor may still work with new clutch.
- flaw in center of rear seat, peeling leather.
- no fog lights, sorry guys.
If you want photos of certain parts you are interested in it's no problem, I'll quote prices for parts as requested and use this site as a guide for what they should be.
I have the title so anyone interested in doing the work to put it back on the road can do so.
Thanks for looking!
