White gauges for a GXE, where to get them that are NOT indiglo

I have a 1998 GXE, and I REALLY want the white gauges.

I do NOT, however, want those ingiglo things. Personally, I think those look slightly retarded. No offense to anybody who has them. I do not want to look like I have a Timex watch in my dashboard. Plus those are illegal at night here, and people have been ticketed for them (only "fix-it" tickets, but still...)

Is there anything out there other than what is at ImportIntelligence.Com ? They have some stickers that you lay over your gauges, but they are really cheap looking ad do not even have the small "tick marks" in between the numbers.

I have looked all over the net and I can't seem to find anything else. Any suggestions?

BTW, I also did a search in the forums here.

reverse gauges from where?

What do reverse gauges look like? They are not indiglo at night? Are those the ones where just the numbers glow? That might be OK...

Why not swap them with an "SE" model Max? You may have to take the needles off, though. If your looking for the white gauges without the indiglo look, why not do what I did....I'm waiting on my gauges from ProCarParts. These gauges are white with a "superwhite" indiglo look. I can't wait to put them in when they arrive!

Hey, those aren't so bad. Good idea, thanks. I might think about that.

I was thinking about swapping the original gauges from an SE (maybe from a junkyard) but I won't have my original odometer reading.

nevermind...

nevermind... those gauges look cool, but they won't work on my Max. I have a '98 and it has the digital odometer, and those gauges are for '97 and older Maximas.

you should try your local junk yards and see if there are any 98 SE's. since you have the digital odo you wont be able to mix and match years. i am not sure if 98 is the only year for the digital odo, but i do know that 95-97 does not have it. also there are many websites that sell OEM Parts reletively cheap. just a thought.

Ok, they sell reverse indiglo for 98, 99 on ebay (sometimes) and autodynamic.com.

If you still don't like those reverse indiglo, you got some choices. following is what i remember:
- importintelligence white face. but you said you don't like them.
- mmrusa.com, custom made
- http://www.viggdesigns.com/whiteface.htm, also custom made
- http://www.ecklers.com/dept.asp?dept_id=9003

OR you can do it yourself. seach the internet for instruction.

The only thing different on the 97 vs the 95 and 96 is that the needles are red like on the 98 and 99's.
