Will SE 5-Speed springs drop an AUTO front end? Repost- No answers first time.

Will it lower me at all?
I like my stock GLE ride on but would like a mild drop up front to even things out. Currently, the front sits 2" higher than the rear on my 96 GLE. Here is the situation:
I can get decent prices on SE 5-speed springs. I know that the SE rears will help with handling (a little), but that the front Auto springs are the same. HOWEVER-

I thought about using SE 5-speed springs, b/c they are calibrated for lighter front ends. As I said, my front end rides higher than the rear, even when completely empty.

SO the question is, can I run SE 5-speed fronts on my GLE auto to reduce my front wheel gap by a little bit, hopefully levelling things out? Secondly, will I need the stock SE struts, too?

I do not have the budget for aftermarket right now, but at least want things LEVEL. Any other suggestions?

seems to me you like the good old cush ride, if you like your cush ride then keep your suspension stock with the big 4x4 look. But if you want to do it right get some adjustable shocks and some sprints.

I know that they are the same height (length) uninstalled, my question was more related to a softer spring stifness to all ow the same ride height with a (lighter) 5-speed as opposed to the heavier auto. The softer spring rate will THEORETICALLY allow my auto front end to "sag" a bit, as compared to the hight that they have when on the lighter 5-speed. Any thoughts, now that i have clarified?
