SE vs. GXE springs - height

Are SE springs lower than GXE's? I noticed that stock SE Maximas seem to be lower or closer to the ground. Will putting SE springs on my GXE lower the car?

dont know if they are the same or different for sure, but if they are different you wont notice the difference. i think the only difference is the spring rate

No, SEs look like 4X4s, same as GXEs (look at the example SE in Geo's sig pic). If they are any lower, you won't be able to visually tell the difference. Like our boy Geo said, the difference is in the spring rate (SE springs would be just a tad stiffer).

This is a very ridiculous post not to be rude but why on gods earth would you change springs and still have the same height ,

HERE IS THE DEAL SAVE UP ABOUT $150 AND GET SOME SPRINTS AND YOUR CAR WILL BE LOWERED!!!!

Well Jay, my understanding of the original question is "Should I buy SE springs for my car, they seem lower than GXE springs".

My reply was basically "No, SE springs are the same height as GXE springs, maybe a bit stiffer".

My implication (one that I hope sgmax, the original post, would get from my reply) was "Because the SE springs give you the same ride height as GXE springs, they will not lower your car, so don't buy them."

I'm guessing you didn't get that?

Ride height is the same the suspension on the SE is stiffer but not a good idea to invest in some SE suspension whether new or used, it just would not make sense in any way. Just to help you out not the correct route to go, if you are low on funds there are some springs that will make your car handle and look better at a lower cost. Well if I misunderstood you sorry!!!

Those are CLUB LINEA SPECIALE 18x8 40 offset with 245/40 18 tires. I no longer own those wheels I now have 18x8.5 SSRS.

se springs are not lower than gxe springs. i think the difference between se & gxe may be in the struts not the springs.
