This guy wants to race me, he has a 99 Mazda Melinia AUTO. He just got a Cold Air Intake Installed.....but the funny thing is, it sounds nothing like the Beast that comes out of my High Flow Intake.

Who Should Win This race? I dont know what Mazdas come with! But I know he has a V6 in his.

 

I say Max.....not completely sure tho, but i dont think the have the horsies....

 

Watch out. It could be a Millenia S (supercharged) and if he changed the pulley on the SC, they can get pretty fast.

 

for the most part you should take him, but be advised for the supercharged eddition. although those are still slow none the less you should take him, especialy off the line

 

they weigh slighty more than us (bout 300 pounds more)....and now that i remember, i saw the review for this in C&D from a few years ago.....lemme get the issue out....ok got it, says here a 7.8 on the 0-60 and a 16 @ 89 in the 1/4 mile....so guessing if you can keep your car in a str8 line, and dont screw up, then you should have em....if your 5spd, pulley or no pulley, you got em

plus your altezza's are plus 30hp

(i have altezzas too, not tryin to rag on you)

 

man first it was an auto max vs a stick mazda mx-6. now it's an auto max vs auto mazda millenia, is it just me or is everybody done with the smackdown on honda and now is beginning a smackdown on mazda??

But yeah the S is a good one. My aunt has it. it's almost brand new in a very controlled pristine shape she kept it in the 25k range then she let me drive it once. It is nice the acceleration is comparable to the max. The SC is ok. it's tourquey but i think the max should take it. but then again my aunt has no mods on it (duh) and never will! unless she has a midlife crisis or something.
