Anyone with interior neons...

I got a 99 maxima, and im trying to put two neon lights under the dash where peoples feet rest. so i got the passenger side mounted, but i can't find a place to mount the drivers side neon.

for those of you with the same type of installation, where did you put your neons under the driver side dash?? and also, what did you hook it up to? im thinking of the head unit....

Ye i cable tied my neons to the wire loom running under the dash and connected them via a relay to the wire running to the door light so they only come on when the doors open, less hassle from the coppers when i get stopped

I drilled my blacklight into the plastic piece under the dash.

Not recommended.

I went to Walmart and bough 2 10" neons for 9.99 a piece. They are the kind that plug into the cigarette lighter. I secured the neons to the wire looms under the dash via some zip ties. Then I spliced the wires and ran them through my dash and out my ebrake boot back into 1 cigarette adapter. I'm happy with it, plus hell, it only cost me 20 bucks.

I used to buy tons of the walmart neons. I am pretty sure they don't sell them anymore but I could be wrong. Also the zip tie idea is the best and wire them to a switch and then that through an ignition fuse. Looks much cleaner than pluggin it in to the lighter.

Screw the driver's side neon under the steering wheel far back on the underside panel.
