Anyone with the JWT ECU and Supercharger
Anyone with the JWT ECU and Supercharger
I have the JWT ECU upgrade programmed for a 65 shot of nitrous already. I am wanting to put in the Stillen S/C for my 97 Max. On Stillen's site it says that the S/C is not to be used with any other engine ECU modifications. I was wondering if anyone has done this already or something similar. I have the automatic Max if anyone is wondering...

JWT will reprogram your ECU for SC use. I was quoted $100 to reprogram an SC ECU back to N/A specs... I don't know if the price would be the same for going from NOS to SC specs, since the NOS ECU uses a separate daughterboard for NOS use and the main motherboard for N/A use. the SC ECU will only utilize a reprogrammed motherboard, the daughterboard will no longer be necessary unless you want to run NOS in additon to the SC.
What I'm getting at here is it might be smarter to sell your JWT ECU with NOS daughterboad along with your NOS kit and then buy a separate JWT ECU for your SC. This depends on how much they will charge you to reprogram for SC, and how much you could sell your current setup for.
