Inoperable Dome Lights

Bulb & fuse are good but this thing just doesn't work 99% of the time; nor does the map light on the sunroof console. Anyone got any ideas.

Things to check:
- socket (one terminal should have 12 volts at all times)
- three-way dome light switch (one position is OFF)
- door switch

According to the '99 Maxima factory service manual the dome light circuit is controlled by the Body Control Module. I don't know if your '95 has this device.
