check the hanger by the ypipe and cat converter...it needs to be bent inwards towards the pipe, cus it hits the side of the car

yeh i noticed the oxygen sensor in the cat is hitting the car at bumps, but the hanger must be like sitting right on the car, b/c i can hear the noise in reverse holding the brake. i would go check it out but its dark....

I am getting a vibration in reverse and when I first start it up in park. My budget pipe seemed very close to the underside of the car when I installed it and I expect that is where it is hitting. I checked the hanger and that doesn't seem to be the problem. Everything is fine while driving. I'll have to go under there this weekend.

y-pipe noise

I have a Warpspeed ss y-pipe and had the same problem. The solution should be similar with Budget or WSP pipes. The rubber hangers that hold the cat/y-pipe bracket are held in place by two bolts that attach to the car itself, one on either side of the bracket. You have to bend the parts of the bracket on both sides that are close to these bolts away from them. I had to bend them in towards the cat and somewhat forward. Just use something sturdy to bend them, I used the tool to take the lug nuts off the car. I also bent the heat shield away from the cat. I have not heard any noise since I did this.
