I have heard mention of installing a variable flow muffler from a 2002 maxima on a 4th generation car. Has this been done, and how simple is it to do (same size inlet pipe? mounting brackets?). My stock muffler (yeah, yeah, I know no exhaust system yet) is getting pretty badly rusted and I figured that the 2002 muffler would be a nice upgrade. (I'm not looking for the folgers-can ricey honda POS look.) Does anyone know where I can get one, and how much it'll cost (probably quite a bit I'm guessing)?

I think someone posted a dyno sheet comparing 4th and 5th gen mufflers on a 4th gen MAX and the number were almost identical. With the 5th gen muffler he got like .9 hp but lost .7 tq...
