Greddy Evo

Hey guys. Now I did do a search on this and didn't really find the answer I was looking for so I figured I would ask. I was looking for exhausts and I came across the Greddy Evo. It says on Greddy's site that the Evo will fit a 99 GLE. Now correct me if I'm wrong but isn't a 99 a 4th Gen ? Which would mean it would fit a 97 right ? I just don't want to go through the crap of ordering it and getting screwed because it will fit a 5th Gen and not mine. Anyway, thanks for any help in advance.

I think I heard that the SE-Ls have an extra 02 sensor or something, but other than that 4th gen is 4th gen.

It will not. I thought so too at first, and I asked around all over the place when it first came out. I also talked to some shops in my area that distribute for Greddy and they said it's only for '99 and up. Of course you can always make it fit with custom work, if thats what you want to do. If you like the style then just get the muffler and do a custom B-pipe. I didn't want to go through the hassle, so I just settled for an SP.

Man, that's gay. How is the sound of the SP on a Maxima ? I was thinking of gettin an Apexi Dunk with custom piping but I would rather just a full cat back.

That is gay... I wanted that exhaust. The SP sounds pretty good, nice and smooth and really deep, but not nearly as loud as a Dunk would be. IMO Dunk would not look good on a Max but if you like it or you want to go for sound then it's all you. If you are looking for performance/quality then I would definetly recommend the SP, its a diesel pipe.

yeah, the whole GReddy EVO thing confused me at first as well. I guess they mean it when it's only for the 99+. I have the EVO on my 99 SE-L and it's great. the only downfall is that i lowered my car a little over 2.5 inches so if i don't go up driveways at and angle, my exhaust will scratch.

Is it loud, or just deep?
