Manual Transmission Gurus, I need your HELP!
Ok guys, starting Sunday I will be swapping out the autotragic for a 5-speed. I have everything that I need and everything looks good to go. But I have one question. Where does the other end of the support rod bolt up to the car/tranny? I know the one end bolts onto the shifter bracket underneath the shifter, but the other end, where does it bolt onto? Thanks guys.

right up to the tranny, the tranny should have a rod sticking out of it pointint towards the back of the car, you connect the shifter rod to it
I would highly suggest having another 5sp maxima right along and make sure you're doing everything right, and before you even start the swap just get under the car and look at how exactly everything is volted on and where the bolts should be if you haven't done that yet
good luck and let us know how everything goes

No no no, not the shifter (control) rod, I mean the support rod, that other rod that runs parallel with the shifter rod. Where does this bolt up to????
