More accurate fuel measurement

Is there any other way to more accurately measure the amount of fuel in your tank? I understand how the sensor inside the tank measures the amount of fuel...aka...if you go up a hill, the fuel needle moves up (or down...can't remember which), and visa versa. What can I do to make this more accurate when the car is inclinded or declined? I drive a '96 GXE

Re: More accurate fuel measurement

hook a digital voltage readout or a digital ohm meter directly to the fuel level sender.

That wont help.

The problem is that the sensor is near the front of the tank. So when pointed up, the fuel moves to the back of the tank, and vice versa.

No real way around this.

Not that big of a deal either.

Wow I never realized that the reason the needle went down and back up was because of hills.
