The carbon fiber hood for the 95-96 maxima and the 97-99 maxima is out. i have only found it at http://www.carbonfiberhoods.com/ fiberimages is "supposed" to make one but i haven't heard anything about it, but this website has it, but NO PICTURE for it YET. There is also i price for it in the site. It is a new site so they have limited info but they have a # u can call to order and free shipping until January. So that's tyte. SO go check it out!

it lists the 95-96 for $699 and the 97+ for $599.. there's a difference between the two?

- Hey guys, don't forget that SCCA does not allow racing with a Carbon Fiber hood. If drag-racing is your thing, go for it. Otherwise, keep the stock hood handy for when you want to put in a few laps. ;-)

Their quality is very good. My CF hood weighs about 17 lbs or less and is an exact copy of the stock hood. It fits like stock.

So I see from the threads below that the carbon fiber hood is 17LBS. How heavy is the OEM hood?
