Is that normal? When its just idling it sounds like a hiss (its a soft gentle nice hiss though). Also, who said it takes 2 hours to install... geeze it took me like eight... but that could be because i had the wrong tools to use too oh well. I finished tonight and i took it out and i love it. But when i punch the gas its sounds so beastly (very loud almost like a rice burner) is that normal too. Please reply and give some feed back. Thanks

As far as I can tell you are experiencing a normal CAI. My Injen doesn't hiss per say at idle, more like a deep whine...

But yes loud during heavy acceleration. And from what I read here on the Org the Frankencar intake is even louder than my Injen CAI!

After a few days you really begin to consider it normal; then someone who hasn't rode with you before will get in and think your car is either incredible or about to blow up!

 

Yea i was just making sure it was normal.. My car runs great now and i love my CAI. Damn it took me for ever to install it because i know nothign bout cars and that was my first time doing anythign to my car so i am actually proud. Thanks for your replies
