Raced and beat a v6 stang last nite
Saturday night i was just leaving a Fudruckers where a whole bunch of cars that were hooked up were just chillen with popped hoods and stuff like that.....i'm not at that level yet...lol...my car is like COMPLETELY STOCK (97 GXE AUTO)except for some HIDS bulbs and clear bumper lights, performance wise, i aint got jack....well, i pulled up to the light and i saw my friend who has this 5-speed 2002 v6 stang with flowmasters and he's always ragged on my car callin it a family sedan and it can't go nowhere, so i like revved it ( i have a slightly open air box so the car sounds a lil mean, lol) and at the light we took off, he got me on the launch pretty bad cuz i didn't pay much attention to the light and i started one 1/2 car lenght behind him and then when i got to like 40 i was cathcin up and all of a sudden i his front end of his car was near my rear door....i was surprised on how much i caught up....then we went on a 20mph roll....OMG!thats where i just ate em up, i had like 1/2 on em, then 1, then 1 1/2...he stayed to about 1 1/2 car lenghts behind me, l8er on his excuse was that didn't really try hard enuf when he was shifting....i was like thats B.S. cause i looked over at him and he was yankin the the shifter like crazy....i'm still proud that i beat one of america's classic named car...i kno its not no GT...but i'll get there one day...i can't wait to hit the track

Yeah, this like 5 page arguement on mustangs just went by like 2 weeks ago.....so basically, its no surprise that you can beat one...
This kid down the road has a 1993 140HP (or somthinglike that) 5 speed Altima, and he tore a 5 speed Mustang to shreds, so as you can see, those Crustangs arent a challange (like a civic) Unless you have an upgraded one, but i wont go into there...

i rented a v6 stang, and was unimpressed, i would much prefer to take on a GT, a co-worker of mine (just seen the car, dont know who owns it) has a mustang bullit, looks 100% stock, i would like to take it on when i get a y-pipe and my clutch is broken in.

Last week I rented a Hyundai - when I walked out to the rental spot - it was a shiny dark yellow mustang with rear deck/spoiler ground effects. It looked incredible I have to admit. As for performance it was a dog (auto, and I'm sure V6)---> I am sure my max would run circles around it. Handling not as good; braking seemed a little better - non-rated tires though.

month or 2 ago i was coming out the movies, and i saw blue hue bulbs behind me and i reconized them as a MUstang(98), at that time all i had was my JWT intake and a catback............my friend was in my car and i told him if that **** is a V8 i am not ****ing with it cause where i live there are a lot of fast *** cars.............well anyway it was 1 Oclock in the moring and we were headed down this 4 lane road 2 going down and 2 coming up the other side and it was so perfect..........it then passed me on the left i was he had his girl with him and then i saw altezzas on the back and rims and drop and a duel exhaust, but i also saw that V6 mustang horse. i said what the hell so i tried to catch up and at this point he was 11/2 lengths ahead of me going like 55 then i hear him stomp it....SO i downshift to 3 and let the MAX rip by the time we hit a 105 i had 2 cars on him....so was thinking if i started even with him he would have lost by like 3 1/2 car lengths.............lol it was even more fun beacuase when i passed his car and looked over at his girl and she was ****ed offf

what kind of timeslips do the GT and SVT stangs get, they each have 300 and 400 HP (factory rating) stock, and there are blower kits a plenty for them. I dont know if they can be chipped, but i would not be surprised if those would get into the 12s range with little modification.

im not to impressed with mustangs, this kid i know bought an 89 gt 5.0 and from a rolling start in 2nd i was right with him and even pulled like a foot on him and my cars completly stock all though i dont think i'd win from a dead stop cuz im sure hes got more torque then me but its still a pretty close race

yes, v6 mustangs truly are a joke. I've raced three so far. I raced one w/ carbon fiber euros and dual exhaust. I didn't even know we were racing at first. lol. then i heard her spin a little so she had like 2 car lengths on me easy of the line (i take it very easy on my clutch, heh). Then I just punched it caught up with her in 2nd and left her in 3rd. Then last night I raced a red conv. v6 mustang and just blew him away and then on the way home last night I was cruisin at like 45 in 4th gear and this other girl in a red '01 'stang pulled up and I gave it a lil gas and got out in front of me then she punched it and then I did the same. I never left fourth gear and beat her. lol
