Goto autozone and buy yourself an 18 inch breaker bar. Problem solved. Or try putting a pipe on your ratchet for more leverage (you might break the ratchet though, so use a craftsman one)

Re: I needdddd help

Try a breaker bar if you haven't already, or a pipe extension on your ratchet (although this can damage the ratchet, technically)

Also try cranking the bolt slightly clockwise, before you turn it counter-clockwise to loosen - this sometimes will help a stubborn bolt break free more easily.

Unfortunately, liquid penetrant/loosener isn't going to help you much in this application. The bolt is fairly long, with a a smooth shaft and threads only on the end, which is recessed pretty deep inside the bell-housing. Odds are, your spray lube won't even reach the threads.

Just gotta keep 'workin it.

Good luck!

Nahhh. . .

It's more of a disclaimer for my sake, in case you messed up your ratchet - that's all.

I've done the pipe ext. on my 1/2" Craftsman driver to break tough bolts many a time with no ill effects whatsoever.

That's just 1 thing Craftsman recommends against doing with the ratchets. . .

Glad it worked out 4u!

extending your rachet just puts more torque on it than it may have been designed for. thats why you should only buy forged steel tools... i.e. Craftsman. the crap that comes out of places like China is typically cast steel. i can't even remember how many cheap tools i've broken.

thanx guys...
i could find a pipe for the wrench set... soo
i went to discount auto parts store and
got a tool that is meant for lug nuts but it was size 17mm
soo it would work and it was very long soo i could get leverage.
the shocking thing about this was that i thought i'd have to put alot of strength into taking it out with this new tool but its was sooooo much easier only if i had this 4 days ago.... it woulda been done within 45min. well if anyone in tampa ever needs help... "i gotcha back"
