Clutch Question

Hi
I usually just leave my car parked in first gear if I'm on level ground but yesterday I put the parking brake on too. When I got back in the car, I started to let the clutch out with a little gas and when I realized I wasn't moving, I remembered I had the brake on. I'm probably being paranoid, but did I just put some extra wear on the clutch plate or did this potentially burn or glaze the surface?

I doubt it
it's kinda like towing something. You're trying to move forward but there is slight resistance.
Actually I use my e-brake to prevent rolling back on steep hills, especially in San Fransico. But then again, rolling back is fun.

FYI for you. DOn't use the E brake in the winter unless you are on a big hill or something-just leave it in gear (1st or reverse). I used the E barke once after a rain storm which became a blizzrd and my ebrake FROZE. I had to get it towed to a heated garage for an overnight stay. So learn from me-if its cold out don't use it less you gotta.
