Who else plans on keeping their Max for a long time?

After all the research and driving I've been doing I seriously think I'll keep this car another 8-10 years. At the track today (1st time) and ran a 15.3. I was so hype, I thought may brake 16s. I have a y-pipe but I think I badly need a tune up cuz I'm starting to bog down at first when I hit the gas. I'm changing the fuel filter & plugs tomorrow so I think I could do even better. And now I know when my clutch goes years from now, I'll be happy to get a ACT clutch, and when my tranny goes, I'll just get an I30 LSD tranny. The car would be better then before! Sorry I'm rambling but I'm really liking my new car, now if I could just get my damn intake from teamslumrise

Had my 87 SE from new for almost 14 years..

Last few years before it was wrecked it was still a runner, but it was by then getting REAL long in the tooth... Real slow-*** power windows, slight bit of rust here and there, rubber was dryrotting and "washing off" on the chamois, rain water sneaking into the trunk from the dry-shrunk weather seals, the surfaces of the door and window switches were worn off, a few radio buttons had fallen off... but I could still haul 4 - 5 people in comfort - if not style.

I can attest that a Maxi is definately capable of going 13+ years/140K+ miles.

I'm gonna keep mine til 300k at least. I got mine brand new and I've got 120k now. Never had a single problem.

Who knows. When I hit 300k, I could just buy a used 4th gen engine for $500 and drive another 300K.

I plan on keeping mine between 8-10 years. I have only 30k miles so I'm hoping I can get there without a single problem. If I make enough money I want to keep my Max after I buy my next car.

i plan on kepping my max until it dies it has about 79k on it now and its a 95 (pretty good if you ask me). when it does finally die i plan on either getting a new one (whatever gen that would be) or stay in the Nissan camp and go GTR (Motorex is the ****). i figure since my car is payed for i can save the money i need over the next however many years so that the gtr could be a reality. so how long will i keep it? at least till 150k or like someone else said, untill the repairs cost more than the car is worth.

i plan on keeping my '95 with 80k at least until i am through with school. i will be a soph this fall and will take at least 7 semesters to get my undergrad in ECE and then will go to grad school since my job will double my salary and pay for 1/2 of tuition . so i am looking at another 5-8 years with my max and i really believe that a max can go strong for 15 years (but i dont want to jinx it either )
