I tried pulling off my shift **** on my Maxima and had some major difficulties. Should it just screw off? I tried unscrewing and it seems like it won't come off. Am I just week or is there something i should do?

There is glue holding that konb on. It is threaded, but there is also glue. Get a small towel and a pair of vice grips. Put the towel around the **** and put the pliers on the ****. Hold the shift lever with your weak and and twist with the other. Twist as hard *** hell!

I didn't have any problems removing my old **** at all. Maybe it wasn't glued or something.

Strap wrench should come in handy here. Sears has 'em.

Use one of those rubber things that you use to make opening jars easier. maybe that'll enable you to get a better grip to just twist it off.
