What is this wire harness on the Manual Tranny?
Ok guys, the auto to manual tranny swap/install is complete and everything works fine. However, I do have a question. What/Where does this wire harness go to? It has four wires in it, but there is no connector on it. Anyone know? It comes out of the driver's side of the tranny. Thanks all.....Sorry for the big huge picture.
Ahh yes, that would be the "park position switch". Basically it sends a signal to tell the ECU if the car is in gear or neutral (hint hint remote start), or if it is in reverse (for rev. lights). You would splice into this to control the rev. lights. I dunno about the neutral/gear to the ECU though.

So, these 4 wires plug into that Park/Neutral harness coming out of the car now. Hmmmmm, do you know of any way to simulate this connector? These 4 wires plug into a connector, which connects to 2 wires......

So is it possible to put a remote start on a manual if you leave it in neutral (w/parking brake up of course). I heard remote starts are only for automatics?

It is possible but can be dangerous if not in Neutral.
