did you guys have to adjust anything to the car to get 17's or 18's? like raise it or something? will turnign be a problem? thanks for the info

 

No... just keep the tire size about right 17" 235/45-17 18"s 235/40-18 or 19" 235/35-19... you can do variations I run 245/40s on my 18"s and soon to run 245/35s on my 19"s

Yeah take those stock rims off! I believe you can go up to 19's without any major problems...unless you had it dropped before, you should be ok. I just had my 18's Motegi's put on with new tire it looks sweet. I can finally see my drilled stillin rotor's.

 

It depends on how wide the rim is and the offset. If a rim is 10" wide, you will have problems, even in the back. I think stay with 9" as the largest and still a +40 offset and you should be fine.

The gap won't be thinner if you get the right size tire. Because the sidewalls of the tire are thinner, but the wheel is larger, and the overall diameter should stay the same. The gap won't change. If you do go for bigger wheels, please do the nation a favor and lower it. Stock unlowered I can handle, but 18's and unlowered? Blech!

If you get 235/45 17" tires, it will look exactly like the stock 15's you got on now. The only difference is the rim diameter is larger and the sidewall of the tire is less (it all evens out).

My bad your right... I didn't check to see that he had an SE. So he'll probably see an even bigger gap than he has currently.

 

I wouldn't say my car looks aweful with the gap. I do think it would look better without the gap. for those wondering, they are 17's with 235/45/17s

I heard a good rule of thumb is to keep the gap between the tire and the fender the same or smaller than the sidewall height of your tire to keep your car from looking weird. IMHO, I agree with it.
