Will they fit?

Will they fit?
When I bought the car a year ago, the dealer put new tires on it as a selling point. When I got it home I realized he undersized the tires to some cheap 205/60-16's, which suck. I'm now shopping for new tires and want to put some meaty 225/55-16's on but was told by the guy at the shop that they'll rub the struts. I was ok with that but I saw an identical car with 225's on it about 6 months ago. They car was parked so I have no idea if they rubbed. Has anyone put 225's on SE 5 spoke rims? Did they rub or did they rock? If so are their any decent spacer kits?

Thanks for the input gents!!
I went with the Dunlop SP Sport A2 215/55HR-16's. Heres how they look
Awesome tire. Turning at slow speed is significantly easier. After a little testing at higher speed they stuck like glue. Also less road noise. Any wider and it would look like a truck. I'm stoked! cya
