well for those of u who read my post the other day about racing the cutlass, Grand Am GT and alero, i only got the chance with the cutlass. it was a terrible race....we pulled up at the light on thursday, and i said lets go on green (yes it was a planned race cause my friend said he wanted to go) so on green i floored it (I have a '95 Max GXE by the way, auto) and he didnt have a good reaction time at all and i already had a car length on him before he got going.........so we kept going up to about 60 and then i let off cause he had nooooo chance of catching up. Then the next day i was next to a honda S2000, i wanted to go at it, but the guy didnt. he would have smoked me anyways

 

The Grand AM GT will put up more punch than you think, good job going out there and doing it instead of posting questions....

what does my car run? I cant honestly tell you, we only have a 1/8 mile strip and I havent gotten into racing there yet, so all of my stuff is street racing. I dont know what the stock 1/4 mile time is for a '95 maxima but mine would be just slightly quicker than that.

 

Premium Unleaded.. sometimes i put Shogun in it though..

I am a n00b and I don't get what Shogun is.
Is it a octane boosting thing?
And is it recommended to boost your octane to 110 AKI before street racing?
I am about to go vs. 300zx 1992 n/a 5spd with bose sys. taken out for 1/8 mi.

 

its an octane booster/cleaner/whatever i would use it when i was sprayin nitrous; never really noticed any particular performance gains or anything,.. more peace of mind i guess.

yeah that bose system is heavy as hell... nice job on the weight reduction!..
