Question about DIY Red/Clears
Question about DIY Red/Clears
I've been thinking about this for a while now... The Diamond Cut Clear corners, they are quite clear (obviously
)...I'm wondering if there is a way of mimicking that when it comes to doing custom red/clear tails?
Has anyone done this yet? Just curious....

hmm
there is only 2 options really when doing the red/clear taillights. You can put in the flourescent light covers from home depot, which is what 99% of the people on the org have, or you can completely remove the orange insert and just seal them back up without putting anything in. They would be really clear, actually, see through, you'd be able to see the bulb right through the taillight. But then you'd have the out lenses really clear and the inner still cloudy white. Then you'd have to take the inner lenses off the trunk lid, open them and take ou the white inserts from the reverse lights. Then you'd have a completely clear back with red on top. But I have no idea how the light shines through it when the bulb is on, probably not very well at all. I still suggest going with the light cover insert, it just looks so much better
