MAFS...Torque Convertor...Tranny cooler? WTF?

MAFS...Torque Convertor...Tranny cooler? WTF?
I'm really confused...dealer said my torque converter needs to be
replaced...the tranny shop said my torque converter is fine, might be
an electrical problem...
I took apart my entire wiring harness last night...sure enough, the MAFS clip had been spliced before...so, I re-spliced it...and no luck
Today, the tranny shop called me and said they spoke with Nissan and
they said that there have been instances of the tranny heating up too
quickly, and some sort of fluid-restriction appears...Anyone heard
of that???
The guy is honest...he said to me that he'll install a tranny
cooler and if it doesn't solve my problem, the labour is free.
Any thoughts on this?
Anyone think I simply need an exorcism?
