Warpspeed y pipe owners, which did you buy?

It looks like I'm going to order the aluminized mandrel bent y pipe for my 95. But they offer so many versions, which is cool, so I was wondering what you all bought. I recall reading in a post that Warpspeed actually recommends the aluminized version because of cost to consumer and it is a great pipe. But you know you always have to wonder when there is a more expensive product in their line. Is the Stainless Steel one better? I read that the SS gives a little bit more hp?? BTW what is the difference between TIG and MIG welding. Thanks guys.

Stainless steel gives you zilch in hp. It's there as a better material to deter corrosion. I have the aluminized mandrel y pipe and i live in Tx, where stainless is useless to me. TIG is a stronger weld than mig. Unless your living in an area where rain, snow, salt etc. are a problem, stick with the aluminized mb y pipe. Btw, warpspeed is the way to go, I had no fittament probs and flex is doin great after 3 months

assuming the metal is smooth, it doesn't really matter what the pipe is made from.

I have the SS (TIG) Y from WSP, and it's really nice.

After hearing all the bees in the cans sound from almost everyone with a budget pipe, I think its wise to go with WSP. $175 to $225 is a big jump, but i guess you do get what you pay for. If you get the budget, you will probably end up getting a WSP flex section welded to replace budget's. I think you should go SS, but since you are only keeping the car for 3 more years, it should be fine getting the aluminized The material of the pipe does not affect performance.

I have had the Wsp SS for a year now. Got it in their 1st group buy. Fit perfectly never had any bees in the can sound and noticeable power improvement with my intake. I'm in IA where the salt the roads daily from Dec thru March so SS was a better choice for me. No signs of rust on it at all after 12-15K miles.

I am in the same boat MaxedOut is I needed 3-4 years of warranty and then I would be in the $$ anyway. WSP is the way to go for the value fittment and quality. I have recently put on a AL/NM Y with high-temp coating. the only sound diff is a throaty growl at 1.7K rpm and after each shift. I dont think it would be noticed if you didnt hear a before and after....I only have the y on right now I put stock intake on til my custom air box is done..
