Bridgestone LS-H vs. RE950
Bridgestone LS-H vs. RE950
Anyone have Bridgestone LS-Hs??? If so, how do you like them? I've searched previous threads and the RE950 look very popular. I'm running Michelin MXV4 Plus' now...I really want a little better handling, but don't want more noise or harshness. Bridgestone is having a big sale now and I may swap tires out soon. Any feedback would be appreciated.

The tread pattern looks great on the 950s for handling. So how's the noise and ride? Any problems in those areas?

Thanks for the thread. The fact that you use the 950s in Chicago answers my questions about ride and noise. I know the roads are fairly rough compared to here and noise and harshness would show up pretty fast. Thought the thread comments on the S03 were accurate. My boss has the S03s on his turbo Supra and loves them. Unfortunately he only gets 15K out of them!

Anyways, When I put on 17" with 235/45 I expectd a harsher, noiser ride. I was pleasently surprised that I gave up little in the switch and handling was like 10 times better. Since I lowerd the car I have seen a little bumpier ride but it actually just feels like I get better response from the road.
Here is something to consider. When I had the 950s on the 17'" rim before loweing it was almost impossible to get my tires to loose any traction or squeal at all. Since putting on Eibachs/tokicos and FSTB I can push my car a lot harder when cornering and now my tires are the hindering factor in my handeling. There still great but when I push it real hard I can loose a little traction and they make some noise. I guess I could go to the 730 or SO3 but the 950s still do the job.
Cool, that's great feedback. I'm sticking with the stock rims (215 55 16), and the 950s seem to be one of the few tires that offer really good performance without giving up much on the ride, noise side. By the way...I've never seen the 950s on a car...how do the sidewalls look? They seem a little busier than the LS-Hs when I looked at them in the dealer showroom.
