Exactly

But don't worry Dave, changes are afoot

I truly forgot all about Filipinos having a little spanish background. So the Filipinos run the import scene in LV? I always knew that every Filipino has an interest in imports, but didn't know that the population was that great in LV for them to run the scene, thats cool. The Filipino community isn't that large here in the MD/DC/VA area, more in VA, but I do know in Los Angeles thats where we're most populated and I did notice everyone did have a hooked up import. As for the piping, I happened to get mine from this seller on eBay which many other org members have gotten theirs. Follow the link below and ask the seller if he happens to have any more pipes to put up for auction.

I apologize to the initial poster for this thread getting a little off topic, but to keep it on topic, for those of you that aren't aware, check out the 1/4 mile forums you'll see a list of who's running what at the track.

No, really...it's pretty cool. My older brother is Samoan, Sister hawiaan, other sister Samoan, German, and Puerto Rican, little sister Black.

I remember once my older biological sister was getting picked on by some Samoan girls at school.

My Somoan sister (who was the leader of their little "gang") came into the girls room and beat the crud outta them.

They had no idea they were sisters.....funny story.

Oh yeah, and to stay OT, they also drive Nissans! (Everyone in my family does, except my Dad, who's a Caddie man)

I think Nigel has one of the most powerful, if not the most powerfull Maxima w/o Nitrous. What is it, like 420HP/TQ to the flywheel!? $tealin's "super" charger puts 280 to the fly. Boost the V2 to 11psi and it still would be significantly less powerfull then Nigels turbo. BUT...just cause he is pumping the most power, doesn't mean he is the fastest. He ran like an 18 at the track because he couldn't get traction. Slap some slicks on his ride and teach him how to drive like theblue and we got an 11, possibly 10 second Maxima

Matthel is putting down more power than Nigel is, but matthel also has alot more money into his car.

Also I think ron (i30krab) will be putting down more, not sure if he is running nitrous or not. He also has alot more money into his.

Welllllll Ian, if I ever get my hands on a VI, Y pipe and pulley I'm sure it would make for a very interesting race!

I really think that the fastest 1/4 maxima has not run its best run yet... I believe don HAS the fastest proven time - but I don't know if he has the fastest car since we have some very high HP turbo cars that only need to be driven well to tie or beat don.

As for NA - I would say that papasmurf is the fastest right now. DaveB wants to know why I get more respect and I would only guess that it's because I have given back more to the maxima community where as papsmurf does not post as much and is not known by as many people. I can't wait to see what the variable intake does at the track! I hope we see some high 13s this fall.

I'm out of the race for fastest NA maxima - I have proven myself as a quick car and I'm now interested in autoX and track days. Last weekend I won CSP class in Buffalo beating a RX7. My focus has also shifted to show a little as I finish my S4 headlight project and hopefully get my car repainted this winter.

All that really matters is that we continue to mod and race our cars and show the rest of the race scene that the maxima is a car worthy of their respect.

Oh yeah, I forgot he came to that meet.

Eagle Bear is basically a part of the family also, and my little bro is marrying a Pima/Apache Native American....so now we've got Native in our family.

All we need now is Lebanese, Mediteranean, and Indian, and we can rule the world!

muahahahaha!

Actually the fastest proven time is by MardiGrasMax, don doesn't have a video or timeslip to prove his time.

Matt is already a 12 sec car just hasn't got the run in yet to prove it.

You are right the fastest car is still out there and probably will be a turbo.

hold on a minute

Hold on, take a look at that timeslip posted by papasmurf. Either his car has the strongest top end ever for a maxima, or something was wrong at the track. Compare the 1/8th mile time to the 1/4 mile time. 9.76 @ 75.91 doesnt make any sense with a 2.15 60 ft time. My car runs faster than that in the 1/8 mile, and it is an auto. Most of the 5spd guys that run low 14's run around a 9.4 or lower in the 1/8th mile. Is there something I am not seeing, or what is up?

Wow, good eyes!!! I just came back to this post today and noticed that Papasmurf's timeslip is VERY strange. There is something definately wrong with the timing machine or they gave him the wrong timeslip. To go from a high 9.7 second 1/8 at 76mph and end up going a 14.09@99mph takes some serious power. I'm talking along the lines of LS1-like power or nitrous. I just don't see how a NA VQ is going to pull off quite a stunt like this. When I run 14.6-14.7s@96-97mph, I'm running 9.4-9.5s@76-77mph in the 1/8. This is with high 2.2s and low 2.3 60 foots. Papasmurf's slip says he yanked off a strong 2.15 60' yet he was only able to get a high 9.7 1/8 at 76mph and then somehow hits some kind of massive power surge to drop him to a 14.09@99mph A 9.7 in the 1/8 is good for solid 14.8-14.9s. If my car was to pull off a 2.1, I'd be hitting 14.4s.

In a nutshell, Papasmurf's Max is taking off strong then proceeds to accelerate like a high 14-second car in the first 1/8th and then in the final 1/8th his car has the topend of a LS1 (that's what it would take to recover from that first 1/8 performance). I'm not calling Papasmurf a liar, but I have my doubts that his timeslip isn't correct. To me, that timeslip looks to me like someone running nitrous once they got into 2nd gear.

My guess is nitrous, the only thing that can do that would be nitrous, spraying in 3rd gear...

maybe he has it, maybe he doesn't

Papasmurf does NOT have Nitrous. I can vouch for that. The reason his time slip looks like that is because he keeps grinding 2nd gear. He has a STS and set the throws way too short, causing him to misjudge his gear. His car is known as a high-end, highway runner explaining the massive amounts on top end power. I've raced Papasmurf many times and even though I can get him out of the hole, he always comes back on me by third gear. Both of our cars are built for highway running and are made to produce killer top-end power. Many of the DC chapter .org members have witnessed our cars in action and can tell you the same. BTW, and LS1 on Nitrous ain't got nothing on me on the highway.

So your saying he is a high 13 sec. N/A car. Impressive. So what excatly have you done to your car to smoke a LS1. You must have more than what you have on your homepage:
Jim Wolf Technologies Cone Air Intake
Apexi Super-AFC
Under Pressure Research and Development E-PROM ECU
Budget Exhaust F-Pipe

Yes there is a turbo for a maxima...its a custom kit sold on the group deal sections of the org... or you can have one custom made your self from a local shop... the guy that has a turbo on his, Nigel, is pushing 370 HP to the wheels, on his turbo setup

Fine if you all dont believe the fact that
1. My total car weight is 2800+
2. I have no A/c compressor
3. I was using 116octane race gas 1/4 tank
4. Nitto 555 Extremes on 16's
5. I missed 2nd
6. My top side is well over 150 (MY Secret)
7. NO nitrous

If you dont think its possible come on down to the DC End of the Year BBQ and well do some runs on the highway and some 1/4 races light to light. And then Maybe youll believe. Ask the guys that went for a ride in my car when i went up to new york in the beging of the year they will tell you. Ask the moddified M3 i stopped on the highway last week.

If I take you up on your offer do I get to learn what the "secret" is or will it remain a secret?
