Xeon Light bulbs 9004

I currenlty have some unknown brand Xeon super white light bulbs in my car, 1999 maxima, they are 65/45 watts. I heard that these light bulbs can burn out fast so i got another pair. The new pair I got runs at 100/85 watts 12v, Will this be safe to use? Can this short any thing or burn out anywire in my head light? Will I see an improvement from my old super white XEON Bulbs? Thank you!

if you run any bulbs higher than stock wattage of 45/65 you need an upgraded wire harness....

100/85watt will melt your harness. 65/45watt won't. As William said, you need to buy an upgraded headlight harness and they you should be safe. Most people here prefer to buy them from www.SUVLights.com. They are around $35.
As for seeing an improvment, you will have to see for youself. It all depends on the quality of the bulb. I suggest you plug one in one headlight and leave the other one with your old bulb. Project the headlights up on a wall at night and see the results for youself.
