Y-pipe review!!!!
Y-pipe review!!!!
i just got back from having my y-pipe installed, i ended up gettin it for $50 under the table...i got a non-mandrel warpspeed y and i have a CAI and aftermarket muffler...the sound with the yipe is amazing and at idle it is almost like a rumble like a mustang gt or something...the guys that installed it were extremelly suprised bc they are harcore domestic car guys....as for performance i def. notice a difference from a dead stop, the throttle responds much quicker, i dont feel much dif. mid end and i havent gone above 45 mph yet...so im happy with my $195 purchase
hmm you really shouldnt feel a difference yet....ecu hasnt adjusted itself.....welcome to the world of psychological hp
.....umm, did u get the nice idle sound from the y pipe, or did you have it before with the am muffler....i like that sound, hope it comes with the y pipe

the idle is definitely bc of the yipe not the muffler...well a combination now, but it was much higher pitched before...the guys that installed the pipe didnt disconnect the bettery, does that mean that the ECU wont be able to reset??

Maybe to others is phscological to me after I installed my Y pipe instant difference. You have to be very **** and picky and know your ride!!!I did notice an increase in hp, if others dont maybe something is seriously wrong, besides I had intake and complete exhaust system aside from the Ypipe. $195 well spent yes, now Id get a $27 ypipe, cheapest mod for the money!!!

Is the $27 Y-pipe a local shop thing? I'm thinking about getting a custom exhaust system to cut the costs. Any advice?
