alright, i know, i know... i am really stupid. but i do not have my manual, and i am having a mind blank in figuring out how big out tank is. i ran a search, but i didn't really find anything... which means i am the only moron on here that doesn't know. i am so ashamed! but if you could, please inlighten me. thanks.

 

16.8 gal, but my memory has been letting me down lately

 

18.5 gallons

 

This is right, I know because I put 18 gallons of gas in earlier this week. New record.

oh well there goes my memory again, and now that i think about it i get 15 gal in my tank with out having the low fuel light come on.

 

THANKS ALOT GUYS..now i can calculate my gas milege. oh sh**... that sucks!!! i only get 14.6 mpg? that is horable! no wonder i spend 40-60 bucks on gas every week. o well i have fun drive'n

 

Wait a minute. Your telling me you only got 270 miles on 1 tank. Did you use your refill capacity? If not your test is null and irrelevant, better luck next time .

 

welcome to the club, i had the same problem..........check your knock sensor - that is a gas eater!!! - i had a 95, and the CEL never went off even though my knock sensor was dead

 

i drive city most of the time and i get about 18 mpg.. maybe because i have a heavy foot..

 

the manual should say too

my refill lite came on and i only filled up like, 15.7 gallons. is that normal? i still had almost 3 more gallons to go. oh ya, i got almost 400 miles out of that too, but over half was highway.

 

yeah thats about normal...that refill light comes on just below empty and i pulled off and got gas and it put 15 in i was like wow we still had 3 gallons to go. i usually get 270 miles on about 12.5 gallons (i fill up when it says quarter tank usually)...at least that was the case until i learned the joy of WOT

 

i dont think ive ever got a fillup more than 14 sumthin gallons, even if my low fuel light is on or anything...and i dont get great miles either, i actually pulled only 225 miles off a full tank once city driving recently, thats from about 13-14 gallons im estimating...thats NOT good mileage at all...and i have a 97 with 70K miles, should i be worrying about the KS??

 

when the fuel light turns on it means you have like 2-3 gallons left so i guess 18.5 is still accurate

 

well if you read my first question, i told everyone that i didn't have my manual. not to be a A** or anything, just let'n you know.

 

well anyway, what can i do to make it have better gas miliage? do certian things go on the car that make it have poor mpg? and what is a refill cap.?
