Security light question
Security light question
Ever since I got my '95 Maxima used a few years ago, the security light would start flashing the instant I shut off the engine. When I locked the doors it continued to flash until I got back in and started the engine.
Today, I went for a road trip. The alarm system acted as it usually has, but when I got home I noticed that when I locked the doors the security light stays solid for a little while and then starts flashing. I've read some posts on the forums, but I can't decide if this is normal. According to Eric L. it is, but the weird part is that it doesn't flash evenly like it used to (it used to give even flashes, maybe 2 every 3 seconds)- now it does one quick flash every 3 seconds or so.
Can someone please tell me if this is what it's supposed to be doing?? I'd rather not have my alarm go gimpy on me. As far as I can tell the rest of the OEM security system works fine, but I just want to make sure.
TIA,
Doug
