my buddy was at my work when i got off so i waited around for him for a bit. after he got out of the building we hit a light and went at it. he is a 95' GTI vr6 5speed. the first was from a stop and he had 1/2 car on me up to 50 or so but i started pulling but we had to shut it down. next was from a 40mph roll and i had about a full car length on him up to 80 or so. it was fun but i really need some help with my low end power. i cant wait for that y-pipe btw i am auto

 

err, uh does your friend not know how to drive? I think the 95 GTI VR6's are quite a bit slower than the current ones but I'm not sure. Good job I guess.

 

I raced a 5 spd 98 GTI VR6...at 1st gear already had about 1 car lenght...2 nd gear..2 car lenght...and keep pulled away..
I'm 5 speed 95...
My other friend has 2002 1.8T 180 HP Jetta...I was wondering if it pulls harder..

 

My friend has a 2001 1.8t jetta. They pull pretty hard. He runs mid to high 15's.

 

Actually the older GTI VR6 is faster then the newer one. You can get it 0-60 in just under 7sec.
