Annoying Rattle with Stilen Mid/B Pipe
I just put a whole new exhaust on my 97 SE this past friday, y-pipe back. I seem to be getting a rattle around the pipe clamp on the stillen b pipe. It only seems to be rattling when im slowing down in gear. What I think is happening is the exhaust is vibrating the pipe clamp on the heat plate that runs between the floor panel and the back half of the car. Would it be really unsafe to remove that or bend it out of the way? I could go to a muffler shop and have them weld the fitting but this exhaust system upgrade has pretty much drained my bank accnt. Any ideas would be a great help.
thanks.

two ways you can attack this.. the thing thats actually vibrating is the catbracket..
1) my muffler shop guy use something like a cro bar and just wedged the pipe back towards the other side of the body.. and it fixed it..
2) have the muffler guy put some bushings in between the bracket or the pipe.. which ever is causing the noise and this should fix it..

thanks for the help guys. i double checked the cat bracket and pushed it around, the sound is definatly comming from the meeting of the two pipes off the b-pipe. the top of the muffler clamp is hitting the heat plate, its a small rattle but im **** about stuff like that so i need to get rid of it...
i tried to slam the heat plate up a few times and it seems to help but its still there a little bit in a turn from a stop. if anybody knows what im talking about fix ideas would be a great help. otherwise no rush... ill figure it out on my own time. once again thanks for the help.
