New trunk Lid sitting slightly crooked, any ideas?

just put on my 97+ style trunk and the problem I have now is that it sits slightly higher then on the right side. the lift side aligns properly, but the right side is up a little. Anyone know how I can fix this?

i would go back and re-trace the steps it takes to swap them. Perhaps you didn't tighten something or didn't put something in place on the side that's sticking up.
This is just a stab in the dark though because i have no idea what the process of swapping trunk lids is..

i got ****ed when this happened to me too. First make sure you aligned the screws on both side so as not to have on side of the side of the trunk father out then the other. If it still lop-sided do this: Life the trunk up(open position) go the the bottom(the pointy part) of the side that is higher. Then place one hand holding the trunk up(hold it right under the inner tail light). Now with the other free hand place it firmly on the pointy end and pull. Do not pull like a sissy, nothing is gonna happen. Do not pull it slowly either you will not move it. All u need to do is yank down(not with all your might, but frimly) like once or twice and it should bend in slightly. If it becomes bent inward too much simply push out until u get the desired height.

btw i srry for the delay on the pm i was in san francisco

thanks dhan, so basically pull one side of the lid towards the rear of the car in the poiwt position?? I'mm assuming one hand on the lower pointy part and one by the taillight and both are pulling, no twisting right?
