Budget Y pipe question

Hey, I did a search but didn't find exactly what I was looking for.

I am considering buying a Y pipe from Budget. If I take it to a local exhaust shop, will pretty much any of them install it for me? About how much do you think I will be looking at for installation cost?

For people that have the Budget pipe, how do you like it? From the search I did, it sounds like nobody has the "bees in a can" sound or anything bad like that...

Price will run you about 50 to 100 bucks for install.

That is CLASSIC. I LOVE cash transactions...

I would say try some backwoods shop, offer $50 cash, and just walk away if they say "no." SOMEONE will do it for $50, Cash. I paid some guy $20 to help me, using HIS shop and air tools, to do a cat and muffler setup on my Jeep. I needed an air hammer, and he had one. $20 and 1 hour and i was out the door.

I got budget because it was cheaper. I think budget and warpspeed is about the same. But for you, I'd say go with warpspeed becaus we KNOW the flex sections used by warpseeds will not have any problems.

there are no long term data on the budget flex sections yet. I have a budget btw.

My mandrel Budget made annoying noises from the flex section. I replaced a lined flex section from Warpspeed and the y-pipe is now as quiet as stock. It cost me a total of $80US to buy the new flex section and installed on my y-pipe. I've read other instances of other Budget mandrel pipe owners who have the same noise issues and some do not so its a hit-or-miss situation. If I had to do it again I would go directly to Warpspeed for their pipes.

What key words did you use in the search engine? Not trying to attack you or anything, but I don't see how you can miss any of the noise related issues.

I used these two words : budget noise - and found this:

Sorry... I searched for Y Pipe and found a bunch of threads, but a lot of them are saying that people like their budget pipes and don't get any bad sounds. Thanks for the info.
